Well it’s official, I have a linebacker for a son. He should enjoy it now, because he has incredibly average parents. Parker weighed in at the 90th percentile for weight and measured at the 75th percentile for height, so he is undoubtedly growing very well right now.
The pediatrician also asked if he was still waking up every 2-3 hours during the night to sleep, to which we answered, “Actually, he’s been sleeping through the night since Friday.” Her response, “Well…that’s…not normal,” and laughed. So it was good to hear that Parker was doing that well. He also got his second Hepatitis B vaccine today, he cried a little, but was fine immediately after.
He has a little bit of diaper rash to clear up, but other than, he’s doing perfectly well. It’s always a tad unnerving to go to the pediatrician, because you want to make sure you as a parent have been doing the very best for your child, so we were very glad to hear he was progressing so well. Parker has been such a good baby so far–a blessing for first-time parents.
Parker also enjoyed his first tailgate this past weekend, and he was so incredibly good. We just setup his playpen in the shade and slept/kicked around all day. This weekend, we’re going to be watching the game from home and having our own little tailgate to celebrate the weekend.
All in all, Parker is doing just about as well as we could hope!
